Amazon was founded in 1994 AD
and was founded by Jeff Bezos, driven by what he calls a "regret framework" that describes his efforts to defend himself by regretting not participating early in the Internet business revolution during that time. In 1994, Jeff Bezos resigned from his position as vice president of "Dy Show & Company", a Wall Street company, and moved to Seattle, and then began work on a business plan that resulted in the company "Amazon Com".
Jeff Bezos established the company on the fifth of July 1994 AD, and called it "Cadbury", and a year later Bezos changed the name of the company to Amazon after a mistake in hearing the name of the company, where he heard "Cadagger", which means (cadaver). In September 1994, Jeff bought the network domain (Relentless.com) and decided for a short time to name his online store Relentless (meaning: stubborn), but some friends indicated to him that the name suggests a little evil. The domain name (Relentless.com) is still owned by Bezos, and it automatically redirects the user to the Amazon store. The company launched its website on the internet in 1995 as Amazon.com.
After researching the dictionaries, Bezos' choice of this name was settled because it is an interesting and different place, as his store planned to be. He learned that the Amazon River is the largest river in the world which corresponds to its goal. In his shop to be the largest store in the world. Bezos set his first priority on building a distinctive brand, telling a reporter, "There is nothing in our project that cannot be imitated over time. But as you know, the McDonald's brand has been imitated and still continues as a huge multi-billion dollar company. A lot of that." It goes back to the brand name “McDonald's.” Brand names are more important online than they are in the physical world. In addition, choosing a name that begins with the letter A makes it top any search list alphabetically.
From June 19, 2000 AD, the Amazon logo appeared as a smile-like arrow that extended from the letter "A" to "Z". Which indicates that the company provides all products, from A to Z. After reading a report on the future of the Internet that predicts that e-commerce will grow at an annual rate of 2300%, Bezos has compiled a list of 20 products that can be marketed online. Then he shortened the list further to five products he believed were promising and included: CDs, computers, videos, and books. Bezos finally decided that his new project would be in the field of selling books on the Internet, due to the great demand around the world for literary books. Also the low price of books, as well as the large number of printed books. Amazon was originally founded in the Bezos garage in Bellevue, Washington.
The company started as an online bookstore, an idea that sparked a discussion with Ingram Boo, the owner of the Ingram Boo project. It is now called Ingram Content Group, as well as with Cure Patel, who still owns a stake in Amazon, and Amazon was collecting books in bulk from Ingram. During the first two months of the start of the project, the company's sales reached fifty US states and forty-five countries. Within two months, the company’s earnings had reached $ 20,000 a week. While libraries on the ground and postal catalogs could provide 20,000 addresses, any electronic library could save twice that number due to its practical availability in unlimited virtual warehouses which are the main suppliers and manufacturers.
Amazon was established in 1994 in Washington state, and in July 1995 the company started its service by selling the first book on its website: Douglas Hofstadter and Creative Analogies: Computer Models of the Fundamental Mechanisms of Thought and in August 1995, the company announced Itself to the public and then re-established in 1996 in the state of Delaware.Amazon company shares were listed on the financial market for the first time on May 15, 1997 AD, to trade in the NASDAQ financial market under the name AMZN at a price of $ 18 per share of $ 50.1 after splitting into three shares in late 1990 AD.
